JACKSON TWP. ‒ Firefighters are battling a smoky blaze at Fosnaught Auto Parts, a scrap and salvage yard on Whipple Avenue NW.
Crews were called May 4 to the scrap yard at 6025 Whipple, where hundreds of old vehicles are stored.
Smoke could be seen throughout the Jackson-North Canton area but seemed to be diminishing as of 6:15 p.m. May 4.
Additional fire details were not immediately available.

A section of Whipple Avenue NW near Gabriel Brothers was shut down and traffic is being rerouted.
Firefighters from Plain Township are on hand helping contain the fire.
