Sharna Burgessis looking back on her past relationship with fellowDancing with the Starspro,Sasha Farber.
TheDWTSalum, 40, recalled the pair's relationship during a Monday, May 11 episode ofThe Penthouse With Peta, calling him "such a sweet guy" and "great boyfriend." Things turned romantic between the pair while on the live dance tour,Burn the Floor, in Reno, Nev., she said.
"He came into my life at a time when I just really needed to remember how to laugh again," Burgess said. "There was so much going on in my world in my early 20s."
She added, "Sasha's room and I were right next to each other. And one night, my little self just went over and knocked on his door and was like, 'Hi...' We'd been flirting around it and then we got together. I think we were together for three years, five years. I don't remember. However long I was onBurn the Floor, we were together for."

Ultimately, Burgess departedBurn the Floorto be closer to her family amid her father's health troubles, and things got "too hard" when she got home to Australia.
"I never knew when I was gonna be back on tour again. Sash was with the tour," she said. "It was like, when are our wires in our lives' paths ever gonna cross again? We broke up over Skype. It was hard, but that breakup for me ended up leading to him being with Emma [Slater], which was a whole thing that they were meant to have, their journey with each other."

She added, "It was tough. It really sucked, especially doing it over Skype. And then of course, six months later, we ended up being onDancing with the Starstogether at the same time." Burgess appeared onDWTSfrom 2013 to 2021, while Farber served as a pro dancer from 103 to 2024.
Burgess and hostPeta Murgatroydthen Facetimed Farber in the middle of the podcast, as he recalled that the pair ended up moving on with other people not long after their split. Farber, who tied the knot with Slater in 2018 before they announced their 2022 separation, is now in a relationship withJanel Parish.
Burgess and fiancéBrian Austin Greengot engaged in July 2023 and share son Zane, 3. Burgess is also stepmom to Green's four older kids — Journey, 9, Bodhi, 12, Noah, 13, whom he shares with ex Megan Fox, and Kassius, 24, whom he shares with ex-girlfriendVanessa Marcil.
TheDWTSpro previously revealed her past relationship with Farber in a 2020YouTubevideo, sharing that they were "never, ever meant to be together."
"We were young and we dated for a little bit," she said. "He's just such a good human."
